I felt like Tahrir has lost its power. It still gets news, which is good, but this is not the power I mean.

Tahrir's most important aspect was as a space of non-negotiation; where being there in itself was the statement. This opens protesters up to the commonest criticism, which is of not having a programme of change, not having any suggestions; ( Read more... )

One strategy that occurred to me, now that BNP has been told it cannot exclude members of colour, would be for Britain's population of colour to join it in overwhelming numbers.
